What is Reclaim The Night? --> A march to end male violence against women.
When is it happening? --> 26th November 2011.
Where can I get involved? --> Assemble 6pm at Whitehall Place, SW1, for a women-only march through London.
Why Reclaim the Night?
It is estimated that there are over 40,000 rapes every year in the UK. With a conviction rate barely above 5%, this means that only around 1 in 20 reported rapes ever end in a conviction. Put your feet on the streets for women to mark the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Violence
against Women and demand justice for rape survivors, freedom from fear and an end to all forms of male violence against women.
You can show your support by joining Reclaim the Night – a women-only march that finishes with a mixed rally at Camden Centre, Euston Rd, opposite St Pancras Station. With stalls, hot Caribbean food, a licensed bar and DJs until late. Find out more at this website or follow #reclaimthenight2011
