BBC Documentary on Women

The BBC has been showing a three part documentary about feminism and its impact on women's lives.  The first episode 'Libbers' opens with the rather memorable line by Marilyn French.... 'Feminism is my religion. I wouldn't know how to think without it.'  The whole episode is a pretty interesting comparative exercise between the British and American women's movements.  

The next two episodes Mothers and Activists are different reminders of the same message of the ongoing need for vigilance in the gender equality struggle - the mothers episode for the dangerous unconsciousness it reveals in both many men and women regarding true equality in the home, and the Activists episode for the indispensability of activism for certain feminist aims.
